What is Your Definition of Success?

A couple of years ago my good friend and mentor Fred Sarkari asked me a question that has led me down a path of discovery and fullfilment. That question was simple, “What is your definition of success?”

It was a question I can honestly say, I had never once thought about. Of course, there was the standardized dictionary definitions, but never had I thought that one could define success for themselves.

Now, Several years later with the release of my website nolanmatthias.com and the upcoming release of my first book Golf Balls Don’t Float: 72 Life and Business Lessons From the Golf Course, that very question is the cornerstone of my personal philosophy.

I truly believe that we all need to define success for ourselves, and then make a concious effort to move towards that definition.

After all, “There is only one success -to be able to spend your life in your own way.” - Christopher Morley
